American Staffordshire Terriers is owned & operated by Scott Wheaton & Tonya
Cannon and we are located in South Florida. Our goal is to achieve a full
pedigree of health tested, champions with exceptional temperaments. We are a
small establishment consisting of just a few dogs that we show and
occasionally breed. Our dogs & puppies are raised and living in the house.
Crates are only used for training purposes & a place to call home when we
are not home. We strongly agree to the BREEDERS CODE OF ETHICS! We only
breed to add to our family so 1st &/or 2nd picks are usually spoken for. All
breedings are carefully selected for health, conformation & temperament. All
of our dogs (as they come of age) are tested for OFA hips, OFA Elbows, OFA
Thyroid, OFA Patella OFA Cardiac, DNA, CGC &/or TT, AKC Champion titled &
UKC Champion titled. We are working on adding Penn Hip and CERF to our
health testing guidelines.

I am so happy I am crying!!!!!! This litter was phenomenal I could not be
more proud of you guys!!!!

- Are a special
breed , usually not recognized by UKC /AKC.
- Think that
everyone has dog crates in their living room.
- Have messy
houses but their kennels are spotless.
- Can
always find a show catalog from somewhere within arms reach.
- Have kids who
know more about the "birds and the bees" at 5 then most people
when they are 40.
- Drive
trucks , vans and station wagons especially equipped to haul dog
crates.
- Will drive 400
miles, spend $100 on gas, $200 on motel and $150 on meals to bring
home a .35 cent ribbon.
- Have
kids who regard the word "bitch" as just another word
- Never miss a
pre-entry fee for a Show, but pay the Mortgage 10 days late.
- Use
dog food bags for trash cans and 30 gallon trans cans for dog
food.
- Get
up at 5 am to walk the dogs , can be at ringside by 8 am dressed
to kill , but have trouble getting to work on time.
- Will
usually give up a $150.000 home in the suburbs to move to a shack on
10 acres so they can have $150.000 kennels.
- Have
lush green backyards and never bought a bag of fertilizer.
- Talk
for hours on the phone with another dog person in only a language
known to dog people .
- Have
parents who think that they've lost their minds.
- Have
dog friends who think they are "Terrific"!!!!!
